New EA SyTLAS EA / Multi-currencies MT5 EA

the floating is due to my pc shutdown last night. and the EA cannot run. i run this in my office pc where internet source is nonstop.

How does a concept live and die ?

I started this little experiment as a way to spot trends and ranges. My code was very simple at first but quickly became more and more complex as I was adding filters to it. When I reached the goal I set, which was to analyze the structure of what lies beneath price action, I didn't know anymore what was SyTLAS. So I decided to share it on the internet to see if someone could help me better define this "creature"... And then, John Peterson rightly pointed out that almost every time SyTLAS opens a position, the price moves in the opposite side of the trade for a few minutes/hours. Finally ! I was making a stupid error. Indeed, I accidentally cut the link between time and objectives. So, I tried to change the decision process of SyTLAS in order to reverse what this EA was doing : that didn't work at first but after a lot of trials and errors, I "gave birth" to TAMASAI.

Tamasai EA is a new bot I'm going to share with the SoeHoe community. It's not the Holy Grail but I'm sure you are going to like it a lot.

Stay tuned

PS : Please, don't use SyTLAS with real money anymore... It has been a necessary proof-of-concept... :ok:

hello buddy, how many time do you need for this version ? and they are auto lot size on your version ? thank you :) and drawdown max ? thank you so much

Hi kamel !

I have no idea when it will be ready. I thought I'd be delivering a test version to a friend of mine on Sunday evening but since then, it's been a sh*t storm of unexpected behaviours I needed to fix... So, my answer for now is : When it's done ! ;)

For small accounts, the free version will be enough but serious investors will need a licence. It seems fair enough from my perspective...

Drawdown is what I'm working on right now :ok:

Best regards

Hello Symphoenix,

I had been away from Soehoe for a few weeks and just yesterday I had seen this fantastic thread.
While you are still working in the new Tamasai EA, I will be testing the latest version of the Sytlas.

I have read all the thread. However, a point that is not very clear to me until now is why the Sytlas may (or not) have different performances in MT5 Trading accounts depending on its working mode (Netting or Hedging mode).

According to your analysis and tests until now, is there a MODE that seems to be better for the Sytlas ?

Regards,

Hi HAL !

Thanks for your kind comment :)

I prefer using the Netting mode with SyTLAS/Tamasai because, with Hedging, these EAs don't aggregate positions together to find the averaged price. They treat them as individual positions for further operations (BE/Trailing/Closing).

This explains the different results obtained.

Best regards
