New EA Auto Trading Portfolio (Free EA, No Expiration)

Reader mode
a question to those who have been trading ea for a while:
how do you trade? do you finish the trades at x% profit?
or do you wait until all trades have been closed?
do you trade all the pairs from page 1?

I opened the EA's, at separate times, but have been running them since then, without closing manually or anything.

it's been having a bad month, or so. it was up around 2.4 k pips last month, profit was around 650~ three weeks ago.
Some of the EA's have been running since August or so, some I added later, as they came by.

No big draw down, since I didn't exceed the suggested lot size per capita, even more, did my own back tests, and came to a comfortable trade size

sounds good, i will try on demo and then will look ... EURUSD and GBPUSD already running on Demo and at the moment the trade were closed manually, if +10% equity ... but i will try to let them run ...

+10% equity? you'll burn up your account and get a margin call, what lot size you use, per what deposit size?

In my tests and calculations, I came to the result that if You run all 10 at the same time, decent profit and low draw down can be achieved with 10k and 0.3 risk for every single EA.
Combinations and compounding is the key, I believe.

I had this Errors yesterday. I think at this time the market was closed for 2 minutes at my broker. Sadly the Error messages does not show, about which order the problem is, so I can not close the order by myself.

autotradingportfolio Is any workaround for this? I think the order is still opened, but I do now know hich one it was exactly ;)

Hi SimplePlan ,

those issues are usually caused by the broker's server, the EA should close the order on the next bar if the exit rules are fulfilled.

I'm trying BT this USDJPY on TF H1, from Sept 01, 2018 till today, the result is awesome. But BT from Aug, most of closing was the opposite because of SL.

Ok this answers my question well, cause my orders did not close at the next bar but then the exit rule was no longer fullfilled. Thanks for clarifying, that the EA does not "forget" the order then :)

Playing deposit to know how much needed so it didn't get MC, since I can not change the TP and SL.

Playing the risk have some small effect, but still the calculation to placing the SL can not be change.

I use to do BT on August 2018, since there was long sideways on this month, 2 times.
