My bt with this set file ... (see attachements) ...
a concern is that from trade #52 onwards the equity curve is rather flat. So were trades #45-50 (approx) just lucky strikes?
hahaha ... words, mere words, no proof ... lol
Yes, carries many open trades in loss (big loss), then has to close them at some stage. It cannot carry then ad infinitum, it wil blow the account!! It's called margin call ... and the brokers love it ... lol
Yes on BT have seen it hit SL on USDCAD and in one trade it gives up more than it has gained in previous month or two.
With my BT so far would not use it on USDCAD for it is a failure!
On EURGBP hits SL too many times and results in poor performance.
EURCHF also hits SL too many times and...
Even 110% backtest tickdata won't guarrantee it will perform well in live. The conditions set by the broker in Live are very different to demo or backtest.
They suck you in with backtest and demo, then you face the harsh reality of Live trading conditions.
Yes if you read my post that's exactly what I said .... repeat it for you .... "depending on the broker and the limitations the broker sets on scalping"!!
The pdf manual states makes very important points regarding the EA's requirements and performance. In particular that it performs well in back test, not so well in demo and poorly in live accounts depending on the broker and the limitations the broker sets on scalping. These conditions include...
Did quick BT and results as follows (see attachments). With settings SOTB it appears too low profit factor ... barely profitable. Even though Wins/Losses are ok, the $ losses quickly erode most profit. Will try modifying the settings and retest.
This is what can happen when it moves against the buy trend (see attachment). Have to manage how far you let it go against you ... those floating losses being spoken about. This was on a demo account and recovered later (see attachment 2). As I said before I have only found the buy only...
Here are my BT results. At first glance it looks good, however digging deeper into the report shows potentially dangerous. Doubling up when trades go against you is not good trading. :wondering:
Does not handle simultaneous buy and sell trades successfully. Taking long positions only, it can trade profitably, as long as there is a bias in the trend to the long side.
Will try and test if it does the same for taking short trades only.
Good work Jenailton. I can confirm the results you are getting and believe if used correctly and monitored, this EA can be profitable.
I have back tested it and live tested it (demo) to take short as well as long and it, for reasons I don't understand yet, makes losses which will lead to total...
