EA sets the SL automatically but if the buy signal triggers and another position is opened the EA will bump the TP/SL up accordingly. I think it might have a break even mechanism but i cant remember because i created a bunch of EA's in the past 3 weeks and have been kinda spreading myself thin...

That's probably because not only do you need to set Lot size you also need to set how much the EA adds/subtracts to the position. and set the maximum amount of lots open

There is an option to set a martingale multiplier in the settings, by default it is set to 0. It does add or subtract from the position based on what the currency pair is doing. If you don't want it to do that you can set the additional position size to 0 and the total position size to whatever...

I have the bot running on a demo account and from Friday when i turned it on it's made 8 trades (mind you 4 of those trades were 1 full lot size which is a bit crazy for a sub 1k acct balance, the other 4 were 0.3) for a total profit of 1078.27 but i believe 2 of those trades i closed out manually
